Starting With the Most Recent:

Each exercise or assignment should be completed no later than the start of class one week later.

Exercise 1 - Getting Started with ArcGIS - Must be completed by Monday, January 31st.

Exercise 2 - G + I = Cool - Must be completed by Monday, February 7th.

Exercise 3 - Displaying Data in ArcMap - Must be completed by Monday, February 14th.

Exercise 4 - Plotting and Map Design- Must be completed by Monday, February 21st.

Exercise 4a - Accessing databank - (needed for completing A4).

Exercise 5 - Keeping your feet dry -- Where we play in the water.

Exercise 6 - Hurricanes, The White House, and Nail Salons - Must be completed by Monday, March 21st.

Exercise 7 - Basic Analysis: Map Algebra and Overlays - Must be completed by Monday, March 28th.
EX 7 UPDATE: Use the mid_rd.mxs for georeferencing. It can be found in the midco file folder in avdata. Thanks.

Exercise 8 - Master the Raster - Must be completed by Monday, April 4th.
EX 8 UPDATE: The first part of the assignment (in the Hamburg Quad) should be produced primarily in raster format. You can bring in vector data, but you should be export raster into vector. As such, your primary tool for overlay should be the Raster Calculator.

Exercise 9 - Digitizing - Must be completed by Monday, April 11th.

Exercise 10 - 3d and Viewsheds - Must be completed by Monday, April 18th.

Exercise 11 - Odds and Ends - Must be completed by Monday, April 25th.

Final Assignment - Phase 1 - Project proposals - Due by Monday, March 21st.
