Welcome to the New York - New Jersey Highlands
Regional Assessment Update 2002 Website

The Grant F. Walton Center for Remote Sensing and Spatial Analysis (CRSSA) at Rutgers University was a major participant in the New York - New Jersey Highlands Regional Assessment Update (2001-2002). The USDA Forest Service funded and directed this effort. Other contributors to the update included the U.S. Geological Survey, the NJ Department of Environmental Protection's Endangered and Non-game Species Program, the NY Department of Environmental Conservation, and the Regional Plan Association.

The project was completed in 2002, and final public and technical reports were published by the Forest Service. CRSSA maintains this website as a resource to local decision-makers, non-profit organizations, educators and the general public.
