Barnegat Home | Contact | News | CRSSA       UPDATED 09/21/2004 with 2003 SAV and bottom-type   The downloadable geo-spatial data represent a portion of the Barnegat Bay / coastal geographic information systems (GIS) data base at CRSSA. Format: GIS data are either ESRI Arc/Info coverage, ESRI raster grid or ArcView shape file format.  For data transfer, all Arc/Info data were converted to "interchange" files (*.e00).  These are importable by many GIS software packages.  Please be aware the land cover and habitat data are Arc/Info raster grids, therefore, if you are an ArcView user you will need the Spatial Analyst extention to utilize the data as a grid. Packaging: For ease of downloading, all associated files for each theme, including metadata, have been packed to WinZip archives (*.zip) which can be decompressed using either WinZip (Windows) or UNIX's unzip.
